Seller Guidelines: PurvX India

Clear guidance on what you must do, what you cannot do, and how to keep sales safe and smooth.

Before you list: clean, inspect, measure, and photograph the actual item.

1. What you may list

Allowed
  • Indian clothing and sets: sarees, lehengas, anarkalis, salwar suits, kurtas, gowns, menswear.
  • Ethnic accessories: dupattas, blouses, jewelry, juttis, bags.
  • Decor linked to Indian weddings or festivals.
Not allowed
  • Westernwear, electronics, cosmetics, food items.
  • Counterfeits, misbranded items, stolen goods.
  • Hazardous, illegal, or adult-only items.

2. Listing quality standards

Must do
  • One item per listing. Each outfit or set has its own listing.
  • Use clear photos of the actual item at home with a plain background.
  • Provide measurements for clothing: chest/bust, waist, garment length. Add sleeve, hip, shoulder where relevant.
  • Show front, back, close-ups of work, closures, and any flaws.
  • State fabric, color, work, year of purchase, alterations, and what is included.
  • Use accurate, concise titles without location or condition.
Do not
  • Upload only catalogue or model photos without the actual item.
  • Add watermarks, logos, phone numbers, or social handles inside images.
  • Use heavy filters that change true color.
  • Duplicate the same item across multiple listings.

3. Photo standards: visual examples

Good
Full-length outfit on a person near a window, plain background
Full-length view on a person, plain wall, natural light from the side. Helps buyers visualise fit and drape.
Avoid
Backlit silhouette causing dark subject with blown-out window
Backlit windows, busy rooms, or dark photos make details unclear.
Good
Outfit photographed on a plain background
Plain wall or neutral bedsheet. No distractions.
Avoid
Outfit photographed in a cluttered room with decor and objects
Clutter distracts. Buyers struggle to see the garment clearly.
Required
Where to take measurements on a lehenga set
Measurements are mandatory. Include chest/bust, waist, garment length, plus sleeve, hip, shoulder when relevant.
Avoid
Listing with vague size like free size and no measurements
Do not rely on labels or “free size.” Always add measurements.

4. Authenticity and accuracy

Must do
  • Accurately describe brand or designer. Keep bills, tags, or proof if available.
  • Label non-original pieces as “designer-inspired.”
  • Disclose all flaws, alterations, missing accessories, or color variations.
Do not
  • Sell fake or misrepresented items.
  • Use stolen photos or claim someone else’s work.
  • Make false claims about material, condition, or originality.

5. Communication and conduct

Must do
  • Reply to PurvX order emails within 24 hours. (Buyers do not contact sellers directly on PurvX India.)
  • Share updates by replying to the same order email so PurvX Support has a record.
  • Be professional and courteous in all interactions.
Do not
  • Request or accept payment off the platform.
  • Share phone numbers, WhatsApp, email, or social handles with buyers.
  • Ask for the buyer’s address—use the order details provided by PurvX.

6. Shipping and tracking timelines

Must do
  • Ship within 3 calendar days of the sale.
  • Use a trackable courier. Pack neatly and protect embellishments/embroidery with proper cushioning.
  • Share courier & tracking by replying to the PurvX order email within 24 hours of dispatch.
  • If delayed, reply to the order email with a revised dispatch date and reason before the due date.
  • For high-value items, keep a short packing video and the courier receipt.
Do not
  • Send a different item or an incomplete set.
  • Provide fake, reused, or unverifiable tracking numbers.
  • Ship without adequate packaging/protection for delicate work.

7. Safety and prohibited behaviour

Must do
  • Use only PurvX payments and order flow.
  • Cooperate with PurvX on delivery issues, returns, or remedies if an item is not as described.
  • Maintain records: photos, tracking, and packing video for high-value items.
Do not
  • Attempt off-platform deals, bait-and-switch, or empty-box claims.
  • Manipulate reviews, ratings, or views.
  • Create multiple accounts to evade policies.

8. KYC and account integrity

Must do
  • Provide valid identity information when requested. Aadhaar and PAN may be required.
  • Business sellers should provide GSTIN where applicable.
  • Keep your account details accurate and secure. Use your own photos and content.
Do not
  • Impersonate another person or brand.
  • Share your account or bank details with others.
  • Upload content you do not have rights to use.

9. Enforcement

Violations may lead to: listing removal, payout holds, order cancellation, reduced visibility, account suspension, permanent ban, and where required, reporting to authorities. Severe violations include counterfeits, scams, off-platform payments, and fake tracking.

Payouts are released only after successful delivery and resolution of any delivery issues under Purchase Protection.
